EASTERN BLUEBIRD

The Eastern Bluebird is a small songbird with bright blue upper parts, light brown throat and breast, and white belly.  Bluebirds forage in the open on low branches for insects and other prey.  In the winter, they turn to berries and seeds.  They are typically found in open woodlands and clearings.  This beauty was recently observed at Crane Wildlife Management Area in Falmouth.
