The Indigo Bunting is a brilliant blue overall with scattered dark markings on its wings and tail.  This is one of the most cheerful songbirds in North America.  Males often sing from treetops to attract a mate.  They are a regular sight at Crane Wildlife Management Area on Rt. 151 behind the Nickelodeon Theater.
