The orchard orioles are summer residents in Falmouth. They may arrive at their local breeding ground as late as the middle of May. The orchard oriole is not nearly as common as the Baltimore oriole. This female was recently observed just after sunrise along a woodland edge at the Crane Wildlife Management Area. The female has olive upperparts, yellowish underparts, and white wing bars on dusky gray wings.
