The Ospreys are very active this time of year feeding their young. The young Ospreys are very active and making their first flights. The adult Ospreys typically forage for fish in nearby shallow waters. Oyster Pond Lagoon is one of the very active feeding zones along Surf Drive. When spotting a fish from above, the Osprey often hovers prior to diving, then plummets, legs extended forward just before plunging feet-first into water. After a steep dive, this Osprey hit the jackpot in Oyster Pond Lagoon with two fish in its talons!
