The White-throated Sparrow is a small brown sparrow with a distinctive white throat patch, bold black and white crown stripes, and a small yellow patch between the eyes. Like most sparrows, the White-throated Sparrow tends to forage for seeds, fruit, or insects on or near the ground. They are typically found in wooded thickets and hedges. This White-throated Sparrow was observed recently at the Ashumet Holly Wildlife Sanctuary in Falmouth.
