CF2C3460-001The chorus of early morning bird songs is amazing this time of year!  This yellow warbler was recently seen along the Shining Sea Bike Path near Oyster Pond.  The yellow warbler is known for its bright yellow color and its loud, sweet, persistent singing.  This migratory songbird returns to Falmouth in early May.  After a busy and noisy courtship, yellow warblers select a nest site and typically lay 4-5 eggs. They are found in gardens and shrubby areas not far from water.  The male yellow warbler is mostly yellow with orange streaks on the chest and belly.
