Warm temperatures and southwest winds have played a big part in the spring migration underway with waves of warblers and many other migratory birds. At long last spring migration is in full swing with the early morning chorus of birds song being heard everywhere. This yellow warbler is a familiar local nesting bird and generally arrives in early May. They are frequently found in near wet meadows and streams as well as thickets and other brushy areas. This yellow warbler was seen along the Shining Sea bike Path in North Falmouth. The male has a bright yellow body with red breast streaks.
