The Short-billed Dowitcher is a regular visitor along the coast of Cape Cod during fall migration.    This medium sized shorebird migrates south to Central and South America.  They are found mostly on sand and mud flats and in open marshes.  They have a long straight bill, a brownish crown and back, a white eyebrow, buff colored chest, and greenish yellow legs.  This juvenile Dowitcher was seen in Great Sippewissett Marsh.
