The White-throated Sparrow is a fairly common winter resident in Falmouth. This cheery songbird sings year round. The whistled rhythmic song sounds like Sam Peabody, Peabody, Peabody. This handsome sparrow is easily identified by its bold white throat and striped crown. It feeds on the ground for seeds and berries. This White-throated was recently seen in a thicket behind Falmouth Town Hall.
