CF2C2820-1Wintering ducks continue to be found in growing numbers in the many bays and waterways around Falmouth.  The White-winged Scoter is a medium-sized sea duck.  This duck migrates from central Canada and heads south along the Atlantic coast as far south as the Carolinas. It is mostly black except for distinctive white eye patches, white eyes, and large white wing patches.  This White-winged Scoter was recently seen from the tip of Little Island in West Falmouth.
